Foundation Friday: Wet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation Review

Hello guys,

This week’s Foundation Friday is on the Wet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation.

Cushion foundations are getting a lot of hype. Therefore, they are quite expensive at the drugstore.

I’ve been very intrigued by them and wanted to try out one for a long time. Given that I have oily skin, I was quite nervous.

I was so excited when we received Wet n Wild products including the MegaCushion Foundation. I couldn’t wait and tried it the next day!

Let’s start the review with the basics:

-The packaging: The outside and inside packaging are cute. The compact has a perfect size. Great for travelling.

-The price is excellent, 13.99 CAD and 8.99 USD. One of the lowest in price cushion foundation.

-Color range: is average. It needs some works. Eight shades are not enough.

-Wet n Wild is cruelty-free!

-Application: The application is super easy! I was surprised. The only thing to keep in mind is not to tap too much like I did the first time :). I had way too much product on the brush.

I tried two different brushes and a sponge for the application. I prefer a foundation brush application: The Sigma Brushes F82 Round Kabuki and F80 Flat Kabuki are my makeup brushes of choice.

-Coverage: is medium but buildable. Some of my scars were still picking through. Personally, it doesn’t bother me. :)

-Finish: is simply beautiful! It gives your skin a healthy glow. It’s gorgeous!

-Staying power: I always set my foundations. I don’t like my powders with coverage. So, I always use a translucent matte kind of powder: Wet n Wild Matte About You or Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I get easily 4 hours without any touch-ups with this foundation. After my oil starts picking through but the coverage stays. The foundation doesn’t fade.

By the way, I’m wearing shade Nude Beige.

Oh, and I'm wearing the Soph Eyeshadow Palette from Makeup revolution on my eyes and Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick in Give Me Mocha on my lips.

This Wet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation has quickly become one of my favourites. I love the finish that it gives to my skin. You need to try it!
